Microsoft did not help develop or implement any of those technologies, yet here he is discussing them as if MS has mastered the lot and has some compelling, essential presence in the mix.

I especially love:

From the company that made it's monopoly off the back of closed and proprietary file formats. The same one that only recently had to be dragged kicking and screaming into court to be forced into revealing details of their media servers so that others could share data from them.

The same company that is desperately trying to prevent 3rd parties from connecting to their files services and was eventually bludgeoned into producing open file formats for its Office products.

Yeah, I trust them to deliver better searching.
