Tend to agree with you
P2P however is a two edged sword, you need to be careful with it. It can be used to your advantage or it can come around bite you in the rear.

There is whole generation of musicians coming up from using P2P combined with Messenger service that have built up following by age 15. Having lived across the street from the performance hall where these talented kids sold out 500 seats weekend after weekend showed me what can be done. Also know one of the promoters, not a musician but kid good with numbers I got to hear what they were pulling off. Pretty amazing actually. They sell CD, play concerts in differnt cities around a 500 mile radius and thier stuff is available for download.

It's older generation of musicians that mostly doesn't get it. They have a view of they paid thier dues and others should have to endure the **** they did. This is evident with any Metallica interview on the subject.

Still in the end I say let the older corporate music get locked up. It sucks anyways. I'm waiting for this new generation of kids to make the Grunge(CD Swapping) movement looks like it was nothing.
