IMO, Cable is a shameful laughable industry

Nonregulated as it is, it finds ways to continually raise prices even though theyve supposedly increased their consumer base. Hey Comcast!, what, no cost savings passed onto the consumer.

Comcast and such enjoy no real government oversight mgmt, and the unfortunate natural monopoly where the entry into the market isn't desirable to a lot of would be competitors. Satellite has its potential margins but not enough to really squeeze cable into being competitive on price. They'll each throw features and DVR's and hi def at consumers, or the sporadically used cable(based on individuals choice) OnDemand (which thoroughly butchered Pay Per View, but its gotta be paid for and look for it on the backs and prices on long time consumers while they try to attract new consumers with those freebies and limited time prices.

Dollar for dollar, its still more "entertainment" than I would get from BlockBuster, the movies and over the air TV, but it has and will remain to feel like dropping the prison soap.

Comcast with cable + phone + internet should = govt regulation before they spiral even further into disliked monopoly status.

Let em eat their cake, can they dodge the pies, . . the cold hard pies.
