Then they shouldn't be able to offer phone service.....
The cable scumbags want to have their cake and eat it to. Comcast loves the fact that the phone companies are regulated as a public service (and they should be, no doubt) while the cable companies offer the same services, without government oversight.

When cable offers telephone service, they cease to be an "information service" and instead have entered the realm of public utilities. They should be treated as such.
