PayPal? Their biggest accomplishment has been to figure out how to route customer service email to Dave Null (/dev/null). If that's not the case, their response times must be measured in aeons and no one has received a response yet.

PayPal's biggest form of support is being owned by eBay. If they were still independent, they might find themselves in last place - and that would include behind GreenZap. Now if you want to talk about trust issues, dig into that company. A phone number in Manhattan, New York, a snailmail address in Ralph's Grocery Store in La Jolla, California? Several founders who were on the wrong end of the FTC and several cities' BBBs - to the tune of $100'000? They at least move to defend themselves when something bad is said against them. PayPal won't even do that. Report phishing? Your message has to fit within 1k. I have yet to see a phishing message which is capable of copy+paste of a 1k restriction.

If Google does this right, eBay may have to spin PayPal back off on its own.
