Stallman has all the money he needs, he is a great person.
He is not driven by greed, he is driven by principles. Is that so bad. Not to say he does not have a decent life. The GPL is brilliant. He has contributed so much. But, having said that, there are many other models that make sense, depending on the situation. Open source companies all over the world are figuring out what models work.
