You don't have a clue!
Apple has done it again with the iPod mini. Give it a little
time and the standard iPod will have to become a video pod
to interest people because SIZE MATTERS!

Not just storage size but physical size as well. What
percentage of music listeners have a library of a lot more
that 1000 songs they love enough to load into iTunes? 10%
40%? What percentage of users would want an even smaller
lighter cheaper iPod?

Come on! I'm hoping for a drop to $199 in 3-6 months with
this but it is the first iPod I'm seriously interested in. I look
forward to a $300 8Gig version in the future.

Now I'm not sure they can make them much smaller and
still keep them usable, but who thought they could knock
half an inch off each side, reduce the thickness by 25% and
knock 2oz off it's already svelte 5.6oz weight! all the while
keeping enough storage for most peoples entire legal music
library!

Still 8hours battery, still Firewire, still multi purpose dock
connector, still usb2, still with contacts, notes and game
support!

Why, would most people even be interested in the bulkier
old iPod, unless they had a huge music library? This thing
rocks!
