You describe society perfectly
We only take the bible for example as what is right and wrong morally because a majority accept that.

History show what was morally wrong 100 years ago is perfectly acceptable no longer morally wrong today. It may have been morally wrong for a woman to show too much skin at beach but today morally ok to show as much as you like in some place and while most agree the a few small patches of clothing over specific areas is morally acceptable.

Having childeren with out being married was morally wrong at one point in time but today it's acceptable. (not teen preg just a woman choosing to have childeren on her own)

So why would you follow my idea of morality? I'd think you would if you idea of morality happens to be similiar to mine. Once enough people of a similiar mind set agree on what is morally acceptable it become the norm.
