Not only software
It costs nothing to copy software. Once it's made making second copy is free free free. So it's easy to demand free.

Now if you look at the other items that can be copied easily you see the demand for free there too.

Music, movies, digital books, informaion, ideas, and so on. All have demand to be FREE.

Hardware, lunch healthcare, education all have cost associated to them. Hardware requires physical good, lunch need food products and someone to cook it, health care needs medical suplies and staff, edcation needs supplies and stafff. You can't at the click of a mouse treat cancer or have your lunch instantly appear. Maybe in the future but not right now.

Here's the thing I don't get with Stallman. Lets just imagine a world with no proprietary software. Are we anymore free of corporate bullying? NO! Instead of large software company controlling everything it would be the hardware companies doing it.
