"Just hit delete! Just hit delete!" I am sick of hearing that pathetic response from Spammers and Spammer apologists. By the time you get the chance to "just hit delete", the damage has already been done.
Spamming is illegal.
The firm could not use their email accounts because of all the bounces. That's denial of service (or Theft of Service, if you prefer).
