More overtime tussles for tech companies?

And Computer Professional Union needs to be formed...

This does not just happen in the larger sectors of Developer/IT positions, it happens in the small to medium sized businesses too. What we need is an IT union to represent the issues that us as Computer Professionals face, and have direct relations with us and our employees to make sure that we are satisfied. If it weren't for out technical know-how, these companies would still be using quills and papyrus. With all of the outsourcing and offshoring going on in all computer areas of employment, people tend to take anything that is close to what they want to do just so they can make ends meet. When we finally do land a gig, we don't want to make demands because no one is indispensable. So we put up with a lot more than we have to. Start an IT/Developer union, have them be our liaison with our employers and compensate us correctly salary-wise and overtime/bonus-wise.
