Shouldn't people get paid for the hours they work?
There was recently a big project where I work that just HAD to be by a certain date (top dogs overpromising more than they could reasonably deliever ... they seem to be pretty good at that). Those of us who work hourly were not given any overtime at all. Those who worked salary essentially ended up camping out at work for 2 weeks straight. The problem is that too many employers are abusing the system and people end up working 60+ hours a week and only getting paid for 40.

On the other hand, my employer allows its employes to come in up to 10 minutes after their starting time without any penalties levied against them. So, I see on a daily basis people RUNNING in at 9 minutes after - they clock in, then go to the breakroom and make breakfast. By the time they actually start working, it's usually 25-30 minutes into their workday.
