New threat to Net's future
If the government, state, local or federal started
charging internet taxes in any form, I would more than likely have no choice but to discontinue using the internet, because it would more than like become too exspensive. Anytime, a government body starts taxing something, the cost of that something goes only one way, and that is up. Already, dialup, depending on the service provider is already getting close to the monthly cost of the phone line, and broadband costs even more. It's a known fact, anytime you raise taxes on something, people just go elseware to get the same products for less cost, and as a result, the local bussinesses suffer.
