Redhat is making money, AND providing service.
And, you say you don't need the service??? Download White Box Linux or any of the other clones. Or, use Debian if you like. Myself I am looking forward to version one of UserLinux.

So be glad we have Redhat, they are just offering support options for those that want it. And, on top of that, a lot of the kernel developers work at Redhat. Really a great company.
