Oracle is a bit overwhelming/complicated for many. (I use Oracle 8i and MS SQL 2000 at work.)
MySQL is at the other extreme, being very limited in functionality. (v5.0 will be a big improvement.)

I just don't know who they're aiming the new CQL Server Express at. Home users will use Access. Businesses will use SQL Server Standard.
