Or something that can't be done with VB. Look, I am not saying .net is bad, what I am saying is that this killing of VB is not needed and is going to cause great amounts of wasted time and money for users to deal with.

I noticed you did not respond to the real question of if you were writing an add in (right now) for an office product, what would you pick as the code language? Do you simply walk away from all the installed base and hope to hell everyone throws their PCs away and buys new hardware to run Longhorn, or do you build to the existing market, or do you double/triple your work and maintain two complete sets of code base?
