..And that was just for one of his apps. Imagine if you had many to convert....

From my experience I have yet to see an app that needs to be converted.
You can consume legacy COM within .Net and can wrap .Net code as COM compatible for consumtion by legacy apps.

.. agree with Ax about the .NET framework. It is useless bloat....

Do you do any .Net development?
I do it fulltime and have so exclusively since release in January 2001.
I kinda disagree.
You probably have been on the receiving end of ASP.Net apps without knowing it.
Winform and SmartClients are rare but I have implemented them for corporate clients.

I am seriously disturbed with you agreeing with No_Ax on anything.
Is everything ok?
