Um, what benefit is there to Sun?
Honestly, I see no real monatary benefit to Sun if they release the license to Linux. Yes I am sure there is a "warm and fuzzy" factor in it, but real bottom line dollars? Not really.

Given how the board (as well as the stockholders) have been burned by giving code, or a license to the code away, I don't see this happening anytime soon.

Be interesting to see how it works out...
