Sun warms to open-source server software

Sun offers access to more than 1600 patents to OSS developers! Thankyou Sun: Ballmer thought he could stop the inevitable by spreading FUD. He thought he'd be sitting on his illegal gotten gains forever. But most importantly he thought everybody was stupid as a brick when he mouthed off about Linux and patents.

In less than 3 months OSS has turned around what was seen as its biggest weakness into its greatest strength thanks to IBM and now Sun. Surely many more will follow.
