Google has every reason to play nice here and go for maximum market for FF
Google will not play games here. They really need to reduce Microofts power before they figure out how to use the desktop (IE) monopoly to crush them.The higher the percentage of non-Microsoft browsers, the better for Google. That keeps Microsoft from controling the standards and makes them fight on a level playing field, where they will fail. That said, I hope that everybody has learned from the Microsoft experience and will not let Google substitute proprietary protocols or standards if they ever get a monopoly position in browsers. I doubt that will happen. I also doubt that Google would ever do that.
