Yes, I did make the mistake of equating Linux = GNU. Most people think in this way - perhaps because it IS wrong! I never saw Xenix advertised! I learned about it later. The same for the BSD distros. I wanted something cheap and "covalent" comes to mind - $99 is what I remember. Anyway, they were all forks, and the business continued to fork all the way till the FINAL BASTARDIZATION of UNIX - AIX. Hmm, purchase At&T UNIX for 5 bucks, or write our own from scratch . . . Hmm, YES write our own! What a joke - the epitomy of fork!

I guess I just really wanted SUN BSD Unix at home. But that was 20 years ago (almost) and this gesture is too little and WAY too late for Sun . . .
