... and there's little you can do to stop it. Kim needs to think things through more carefully. Has any socialized economic system (which is what GPL type ecosystems are) been able to compete credibly with free market systems (which proprietary software ecosystems are akin to)? The current OSS movement is ultimately not sustainable as it tries to compete against proprietary software. Socialized OSS may have caught proprietary software off guard, as it is more of a political movement than a credible, sustainable, economic competitor. However ultimately proprietary software will prevail, and socialized OSS will begin to diminish significantly within the next two years.
