I'll believe it when I see it
The AI department has always been optimistic, and there have been thousands of attempts at a true AI.

But success has always been fleeting, just out of grasp. Will it happen someday? Perhaps, perhaps not. Unfortunately, it may be impossible since we have souls IMHO. But even considering the possibility that we are simply overglorified computers, the task has proven time and time and time and time again that it's much more complex than meets the eye, and I've yet to see it happen.

We're tried dozens of methods: Neural networks, genetic algorithms, experts systems, natural language processing, and a lot more. I would like to see this method succeed, but history has shown that even new, novel ways of thinking about AI will not always lead to a true AI.

Therefore, I'll believe it only when I see it.
