Should have done it sooner
I have always done my best to keep both Windows and IE as updated as possible. Anti virus, pop up blockers, security updates, etc etc etc.

But lately IE just seemed to get slower and slower and slower in initial load, page load (no..I DON'T have DIAL UP). This last problem (the JPEG attack) was just the last straw.

I downloaded Mozilla last nite and I must say...I am surely pleased. The interface is very nice, not too crowded, the app loads fast, pages seem to load faster, bookmark transfer was a breeze, just a great experience to this point.

I'm not a newbie, but I'm not a techie either. I'm a fairly strong "power user", I've built my own pcs, I understand the basic principles in Windows and can troubleshoot most problems. But the issue is really very simple. I'm just plain tired of doing it. It's no longer a monthly or yearly occurrence, now it's weekly, sometimes daily. Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, XP, XPS2...I've been through ALL of them! And LEGALLY thank you very much! So what does Microsoft do to me...a DEVOTED customer. They make me verify OWNERSHIP of my software, and make life more difficult by complicating any annual reinstall of the operating system. Which I wouldn't have to do...if the damn thing was as tight as it should be to begin with!! And they haven't made a DENT in stopping the bootlegging of the software!

No. I don't want to go to Linux...cause I've grown up with Windows, I like to play games, I've got a LIBRARY of legally purchased software...and I would STILL have to support my son's Window PC which means DOUBLE OS cost!

All I want is for the damn thing to WORK. I pay my money...is that too much to ask?
