Do you think...
that with the lack of licensing fees (ala Java) and the lack of strict Microsoft oversight (ala Sun), that Mono could become a better Java than Java? After all, one of the biggest controversies about Java is that Sun still retains ultimate control, refusing to make Java completely open source. If Microsoft doesn't assert some kind of control over Mono (and I don't see how it can), doesn't that make Mono actually more open than Java?
