Mono, like open source in general, is a lowest common denominator approach
I'm sure these toys are cute and intersting to play with if you have spare time. But I just don't see the point of using a dumbed down version of the real thing. The .net framework is pretty cool, relatively full featured, relatively rich libraries etc. Why would I want to use a codged together copy? Can someone fill me in? And don't give me the portability line. That's not enough conpensation for the sacrifices.
