While you're at it...
There's Windows 95, Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows NT 3.1, Windows NT 3.5, Windows NT 3.51, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows 2000 Datacenter, Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional, Windows 2003 Server, etc. Don't forget the various updates and service packs that can change the OS enough as to make some programs not work properly, some of which were written by Microsoft. And guess what? All of these versions, which range from mostly compatible to mostly incompatible, were developed by one single vendor. Go figure.
