Strange, looking at the respective web-sites:
" Most small to medium sized businesses do not need
Oracle's high priced DB when MS's 1,499 DB does the job
and MySQL is practicly free"

MS SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition
$1,489 USD with 5 CALs
--or--
$4,999?USD per processor

Oracle Standard Edition One
$149 USD per user (minimum five users).
--or--
$4,995 USD per processor

So five users MS $1,489, or Oracle $745. Of course Oracle
will run on GNU/Linux including the free Fedora
distribution, MS SQL Server will require you to fork out for a
windows license as well.

"MySQL is practicly free"

No is free (GPL version). A bit of an injustice to compare
with the others. However, a great product for the many web
sites powered by the overkill SQL products (right tool for
the job and stuff).
