I tried stating the same thing, but the MS lovers got all in a tizzy. Fact is, most people with a PC simply surf the net and check email (maybe some digital photo stuff...little else). Why in the name of all that is holy would ANYONE be dumb enough to shell out $400+ for an OS is beyond me. Ohh..I was told they aren't idiots...they have PhDs and such (like that separates tech illiterates from the geeks).
I know a lot of people who had Vista...played with it, and went back to XP. I know several others who jumped from XP to Linux (Ubuntu) simply because of the reasons I listed above...if all you do is do some casual surfing and emailing...and perhaps some word processing, etc..then all you need is a simple OS. - Posted by: ccrashh2@...
