What's with the name calling?
So anyone who uses Vista is now an idiot? Forget the fact they have MD's, PHD's and the such.

The numbers do have context. It doesn't matter how many were sold as stand alone or pre-installed just the fact that 40 million have been sold is a major achievement.

It also does not take into account the vast numbers who have claimed to have reverted back to XP

My guess, none. Why would they go back to XP when they purchased or had Vista pre-installed? It makes no sense.

(or switched entirely to Linux).

LOL! Now I see your sarcasm switch is turned on. No one would switch entirely to linux. All those who claim they did turn around a few months later and said they go back to booting into Windows. Hopefully soon it will be Vista.
