in every mainstream household and every business computer, then yeah. Who can argue against that?

But it's far to late to accomplish that the way MS did at this stage of the game. Yet Linux has found tremendous success in driver development even with the likes of MS overshadowing them. So why not study how they did it and take some good ideas away from it?
