EITHER You Are a Super Brilliant Satirist Who has Fooled Us All OR...
... you are truly ignorant of the industry or you're lying. Because the one thing you do not have is a "good idea of what I've been talking about." You make so many untrue claims about Linux that it is obvious you DON'T have a clue what you are talking about - e.g see your first post where you state: "Gentleman, start your compilers. You are going to need it after having to check each application's website individually, check the version numbers, download the source, compile it and hope it doesn't error out, then install it." - which is easily rebuffed by ANYONE who has used Ubuntu and its Synaptic Package Manager see http://www.nongnu.org/synaptic/images/0.53-main.png

You state that you have "..been in the industry for a while...", but does that mean you've had the same year many times or many different years? My guess is the former (assuming the statement is even true).

Regarding the two 3-D desktops - I just say to anyone who even cares about this thread or what you say... enter the question "vista aero linux beryl compare" and you will find most of the comparisons say that beryl is superior in all respects to Vista's Aero (even check out http://www.beryl-project.org/ to see what I mean).

Finally you repeat the blatant untruth about the Linux kernel "panicing [sic] all the time" and "seg faulting". Really? Point me to a study/statistics URL that shows this? When I last looked, it would appear the opposite was widely considered. e.g. "MANY BUSINESSES TODAY are examining the possibility of employing Linux-based desktop systems. Because Linux has a reputation for excellent stability and very low cost, it is an attractive notion to many organizations." from "Crossing Over to Linux" in InfoWorld [http://www.infoworld.com/articles/ap/xml/02/06/03/020603apcrossover.html]

SO... you are either a brilliant satirist who has fooled us all or...
