December 7th; will there be a Pearl?
December 7th is the day Microsoft finds out if its proposed document format has even a chance of becoming an ISO standard. I suspect there are problems. Not only is December 7th a bad day in history for all US born (owing to Pearl Harbor) but Microsoft is being exposed for working against ISO in Novell's Massachussets.

Add Brian Burke, the Microsoft Regional Director for Public Affairs, to the list of Microsoft managers that will have to go before the Abramoff culture at Microsoft can be changed and Microsoft can Show Us Good. Why is Allchin not out of the company? He was to have gone when Vista was launched. That was Thursday.

Oh, interesting spin on the flopped launch. This from the Seattle Times.

Apparently Microsoft is now to be credited with a low keyed Vista/Exchange 7/Office 7 combined launch. It wasn't a flop.

Instead it was an purposeful bellyflop meant to preserve sales prior to Xmas of machines preloaded with Windows XP. If too many prospects knew Vista was coming they might wait until after Xmas to purchase. The spin ignores those Vista Discount Coupons. Make it stop.

Microsoft is to large to be allowed to fail. However, folks like Neukom, Smith, Gates, Ballmer, Allchin and Burke continue to program followers to do wrong. The must go for healing to continue.
