Glad you like Vista, but...
Dude, whatever floats your boat, I guess. I would like to know exactly what inherent security flaws and lack of innovation you are talking about in Linux.

Linux, by its very nature, is pure innovation by talented programmers who do it for the love of it rather than the paycheck. Given the resources the linux and other open source programmers don't have, lack of innovation doesn't seem to be their problem.

Where security is concerned, again, what are you talking about? Linux has few if any security flaws, and in comparison with the average MS offering, Linux performs like a solid fortress while MS usually performs like swiss cheese.

Dude, if MS floats your boat, and fancy artwork and graphical fluff is more important to you than performance and stability, then by all means, go out and spend your company's money on new systems that you really don't need to run an OS that has a pretty interface and requires that you keep paying through the nose for licensing fees. I'm sure that your CEO and CFO are solidly behind the waste of money that could be used for better purposes.
