ROFL! Brilliant!
The company last week quietly showed off software for embedding its Web-based Windows Live ID authentication services within Windows applications.

We'll take failed technology that people hated and make it so it can be embeded in almost any application, which will almost guarantee people have to keep a bloated, insecure operating system connected to the internet for their applications to keep working.

Brilliant!

I'm surprised MSFT didn't invent beer in a bottle.

You can bet if MSFT is promising a "rich client" experience, that their the ones getting rich and you're the one supplying the credit card number.
