There has been no real movement to any of the apps mentioned previously. And indeed web apps will play a big part and that is why MS has it's web version of Office. They have great exposure in the smart device, portable OS domain so they'll slide right into those areas you mention as well. Some will stay with office, the version you buy and own (believe it or not many love to own their software and program it as well) and there will be those that choose to use MS web version of Office. As for your statement on the new version of Office. The interface is horrible....how so? It's a great product and the basic office suite is extremely inexpensive.
