What failed products?
The products you mentioned are chipping away at Microsoft's Office suite, and I expect that the MS Office erosion to accelerate. The new MS Office version is overly large and bloated, and the new interface is a mess.

Web based office applications will find their way into PDA's and similar devices, as all you will need is your data. Web based office application will save the limited memory and storage that these devices have. So there will be a need for web office apps.
