I tested Vista Build 5308 on an AMD 3200 with 1.5GB and a GeForce 6800GT with 256MB and a 200GB SATA disc.

It didn't recognise my SoundBlaster card, it took ages to get a net connection working (the networking is terrible) the disc speed was abominable, the graphics were slow, sound stuttery and very little software functioned properly or at all. The security lockdown on everything made things malfunction and the constant "do you want xxx to run?" messages drove me crazy.

Put Windows XP on a Pentium I 200Mhz with a "glass" theme and voila! you have Vista.
