Great - can't wait
Sounds like news to me...the upgrade will require stable hardware (please recycle your 486-dinosaur now).

Who on here doesn't see a need to run XP with at least 512 MB, if not 1 GB? I've got 512 at work and 1 GB at home, so far, it's been perfect.

And at home, I bet many of you are running more than that.

If you want to have great graphics, you'll need a more advanced video card? But, to be backwards compatiable, it still works with many existing systems.

Dont' see a problem in that, they are catering to people who have been buying 800 MHz computers from 6 years ago, that's a pretty good window.

I don't see my fiance's iMac (600 MHz processor) being able to take the newest incarnation of Apple's OS, and that's fine, but I don't see anyone bellyaching about the specs and the need to upgrade from a 2000 iMac to a 2006 Mac.

Sounds logical.

Nothing to cry about (but give it a couple posts, get the kleenex ready)
