Sorry,..can't conjugate FUD
Anyone who has basic internet skills (which I do have), has the time and interest (which I do not have) would have gotten ~121K hits on a basic Google search for "HIPAA and MS service packs" (which I did, now). A good, basic starting point for you would be the following link (DTD 2003): http://www.infoworld.com/articles/op/xml/02/09/16/020916opwinman.html. This refers to both SP1 for XP and SP3 for W2K. This was a critical issue for the company that I worked for back in 2003, I have slept a few times since then, did not "clearly" remember specifics (thus did not want to quote) and did not care to take the time to re-look up the information. I assumed that anyone with "basic" internet skills could research the plethora of sources to satisfy their curiosities. However, some people just like to eschew obsfucation, which is a primary cause of FUD. srk
