Self-service only works if the people operating it are competent...
And most people don't know the difference between a desktop and doorstop. Let alone know how to use it to its fullest potential.

You can try to exterminate the service industry all you like... but it won't work.

Especially when we converted to a service-based economy during the 1980s when manufacturing went offshore... what's to take over IT, which had taken over for manufacturing? wink Apart from hard working people starving to death, what are Americans to do once the paradigm shift is complete?
