If you are a developer or CTO, you have to pick a stack. Customers are too saavy to allow the home-grown or best-of-breed frankenstiens with thier downstream interface maintenance costs.
And when you pick a stack, you are picking a technology industry leader - McNealy, Ballmer, Ellison. So the question is, who are you going to bet on?
