Hmmm, one throat to choke.
Well at least with Oracle that's nearly an impossible task as their support organization is for the most part only reachable via Metalink (also known as email) and it's very hard to choke somebody effectively in text only. It's hard to choke em with verbage only. The question ultimately will be is the customer better served by tightly linked and highly cohesive software stacks (I'm guessing not) or by lightly linked and highly cohesive products that are best in class. Ask anybody who supports or has installed Oracle Applications and see what they have to say. Ask people who've been nailed by one of the myriad of malware if they've benefited by using the Microsoft software stack. I suspect that this effort is more with an eye toward the bottom line and less with an eye toward their customer base.
