- that's the only way to run it. You want to so badly, you will have to buy Apple hardware. OSX is a feature of the hardware. OSX is not made to be sold on any hardware. That's like saying 'I like the software in OnStar, but I don't want to buy a GM. That software should run on my Garmin GPS!'. Companies use all sorts of enticements to get someone to buy their product. Apples product is hardware, their software is an enticement. Want OSX? Buy an Apple! EOS.
