the point of a company is to make money
NOT put another company out of business. let me explain this concept to you: if you make another company lose ten times as much money as yourself, you are still not making money. you are losing it. if you make another company lose money by decreasing your profits hundreds of times, you are not achieving your aim. finally if you magically manage to bankrupt microsoft but bankrupt your own company in the process you STILL do not achieve you aim. i know i'm being repetitive, but you seem to struggle with the concept of a corporation's duty being to make as much money as possible even if it includes not bankrupting microsoft. and believe me your idea of their business is idiotic, people don't make money from plugins, they make money from the actual software.
