"Linux has failed because it is so difficult .... for a normal user"
And what do you call the "normal user"? Linux is difficult for people who've grown up with Windows.

And what do you classify as "failed"? It hasn't YET got a large proportion of the Windows market? That's because people who have used Windows, because it's preinstalled on nearly ALL PCs, don't know how to use Linux.

Who cares? Windows has failed because it hasn't learned to be secure AND easy to use.

Linux is NOT Windows and never claimed to be, but Windows is not Linux either and it has failed in places where Linux is commonplace.
