Linux boots on Sun's Niagara chip

It would be funny, if only for...: the fact that Linux beat them to the punch AGAIN on porting to a different platform:

But I think Linux-on-Niagara(and Mactel) was really just to be expected quickly, since it's already ported to so many other architectures. If Microsoft does have any plans to make a port to UltraSparc, expect them to take their sweet time to get it running, since they've only had experience with x86 and x64.
