new DB2 open source
Has anybody tried this yet on website? What do you say about it's "footprint" and/or other features and performance compared to MySQL and the new MSSQL express offering. From reading, it looks like the new DB2 osdb has higher processor, storage, and memory limits which make it more attractive to me.

I love MySQL, but I know it's rarely used in the Enterprise. What a great and stable database, but only to a point. Large websites often have to drop user tables and rebuild from scratch when they're too large, because of performance issues. I'm starting to think that using the scaled down enterprise databases to build skills that I use on the job would make more sense.
