Borland is still around?
Remember when everyone seemed to make a C++ compiler? Watcom was the most optimized C compiler for MS and Novell OS's (Novell C was repackaged Watcom C) and even Symantec once had decent development tools. Borland was great because they were small and hungry and Microsoft was big and sloppy. Borland listened to their customers, their products were stable when they were released and they had a better product at a get price. MS is still big and sloppy, but Borland is failing because they thought that they could also be big and sloppy. Bad decision, now Borland is going to take the same path as Symantec and become a shadow of it's former self.
