Not everyone is a zealot
Not everyone who uses Linux is an ABM'er. I use both everyday and see where MS shines and also where Linux is better.

Linux is making progress into areas where it is weakest (desktop use, business apps, management, etc.) and should make for good competition in the next 2-3 years if not sooner.

This forces MS to compete and improve their products as well. Internet Explorer is a perfect example. After the Netscape/IE "war" was over, MS sat on it laurels and only released minor updates. Now that there is true competition again with Firefox, MS is again actively developing on IE. I'm not bashing MS for doing this, because honestly, I would have done the same thing in the same situation.

There are no losers in the MS vs Linux debates, except for the closed minded individuals who think that their choice is the best and the other is crap. These MS/Linux zealots will never see or use some very good products written by talented programmers...in both camps.
